What makes this so special is that the script is put together entirely from the letters that Vincent and his brother Theo wrote one another (and also other people like their mother, Gaugin etc) so the life and death of Vincent Van Gogh is told entirely in his own words. A stunning overview over his work, the development of his unique style, his relationship with his family and his depression which eventually made him take his own life.
