Documentary Description

Terry looks back at the births of Attila the Hun and Alaric, around the year 400AD, and chronicles how the two warriors amassed armies that brought about the deterioration of Rome's Western Empire. The programme also charts how, in spite of this, Catholicism spread across mainland Europe, forming the bedrock of modern-day society.
