Documentary Description

In this episode, Morris takes a look at who put the honey in honeymoons. He goes around the world looking at modern vestiges of ancient male dominance over females, such as wedding rings and the annual wife-carrying contest in the otherwise very civilized country of Finland. In fact, the wife-carrying contest dates back to ancient celebrations of capturing women from other villages. Also included is a chronicle of the rise of the feminist movement in the 20th century, which began with a drive to get women the right to vote a century ago.
